My cycle car

This was built out of steel sheet and was sponsored by Alex Revel from the UTS university in the Shell Mileage Marathon. This was an extremely versatile car as it is probably the only ever road registered Shell Mileage Marathon car in the world. It also got first in the experimental section in the energy challenge. It also won the transmission development award with a hydrostatic drive system.
The car was removed from my possession and its where abouts is unknown. This is the car in one of the first posts.

Cycle car gun platform

This car was unusual as it had leading arm suspension with about 200mm of travel and it was articulated, the front could turn clockwise and the back could turn anticlockwise along its center line giving more suspension travel. It was a great shooting platform and was powered with a ten horse power engine. The seat in the front was wooden fence palings and was quite comfortable. It was entered in the Shell Mileage Marathon in the 1900s.

Some early work

This is our first car to enter the Shell Mileage Marithon

This car won the Gas  Guzzlers award for the most fuel used at 94miles/gallon. It was also suggested it be given to the Australian army for service in the gulf war in 1990 because of it being built like a tank. It served for many years as a paddock basher. More can be read about this car in the first post.

This cycle car is electric

I was privileged to be a member of the Bushranger team in the solar car race from Adelaide to Sydney some years back. I am the one in the drivers seat, We stopped across the road from a primary school and I went over and addressed the school and they all came over to view the cars first hand  The race was delayed due to no sunshine.

My first streamline cycle car

This car was made from steel and fiber glass. It was extremely roomy inside. The front wheels had a single roller bearing. Steering was by moving the front axil. No other photos of this car exist and I was lucky to get this one.
